18 Area players selected for North-South Football Classic

CHARLESTON – Rosters for the annual North-South Football Classic have been announced. 

This area will be very well represented. A total of 18 players from the area will head down to Charleston for the game. 

Among local teams, Fairmont Senior and Robert C. Byrd will have the most representation with three players each, quarterback Connor Neal, Rhett Heston, running back Ghovan Davidson and Robert Arnold among them.

Bridgeport, Elkins, and Liberty all have two players selected.

Grafton, Lewis County, Lincoln, Morgantown, North Marion, and Tucker County each will have one player on the North team. 

The North vs South game is Saturday, June 8 at noon in Charleston. 

Liberty’s AJ Harman will be the head coach of the North squad. He will be assisted by Grafton’s Mickey Foley, Fairmont Senior’s Mark Sampson, and Teague Wagner from RCB.

 Morgantown:  Nick Malone (OL/DL)
 North Marion: Desmond Fluharty (UTL/DB)
 RCB: Ghovan Davidson (RB/LB), Jaden Marino (OL/DE), Robert Arnold (OL/DL)
 Tucker County: Cole Rapp (FB/LB)
