Bridgeport falls to Bluefield in semi-finals

High School Sport

The Bridgeport Indians’ season came to an end Friday afternoon in Bluefield for the second year in a row.
Even with the loss, head coach John Cole was positive after the game.

This season was another historic one for the Indians.

Senior running back Jake Bowen set the school record for career rushing yards, and set the modern era single-season record for yards on the ground. It was also the 26th consecutive season of making the postseason – a state record – and the 51st straight year with a winning record.
