Due to field conditions at Cline Stansberry Stadium, this Friday’s game between (4) Doddridge County and (5) Cameron will be played at I.L. and Sue Morris Stadium in Glenville.
Head coach Bobby Burnside said that it was an easy choice to move the game to Glenville once the Bulldogs home field was deemed unfit for the game by the WVSSAC.
“It’s a field that our kids have played on their whole life. they played youth football there. They played middle school football there. We play there every other year in high school. So we wanted to choose a field that we’re pretty familiar with,” said Burnside.
He also said that playing the quarterfinal game on turf, instead of a potentially muddy grass field, can open up the Bulldogs offense, and allow them to do some things they haven’t been able to do the last few weeks.
