Polar Bears celebrate state title

Fairmont Senior High School celebrates first state football title in over 70 years on Monday.

Former Polar Bears were there to celebrate and acknowledge this year’s historic club.

Head Coach Nick Bartic said something about each player, including every senior this year being the winningest senior class in Fairmont Senior history.

“Most prolific passer in our state. And how selfless is he? How much does he want to win a state championship? No, he wasn’t going to throw passes all over the place. He was going to run the ball to seal the deal and win the game. And it’s as selfless as it gets, and is the mark of a champion. Connor Neal,” said Bartic.
