Polar Bears maul Red Riders, advance to 3rd straight state title game

For the third straight season, Fairmont Senior will be playing for a shot at the state title. The top-seeded Polar Bears earned a shutout win over the Weir Red Riders on Saturday afternoon, 59-0, and punched their ticket to Wheeling Island Stadium for the Super Six. It will be a rematch of last year’s state final, after Bluefield took care of Bridgeport yesterday afternoon, 35-14.
