An overnight fire ravages two homes in Lewis County, east of Weston.
According to Asst. Chief Cory Ruppert of the Weston Fire Department, crews were called out at around midnight on a fire that involved two structures on Mill St., just off U.S. Hwy. 33.
He says due to the extent of the damage to both structures, it’s unclear what caused the blaze, but the State Fire Marshal’s Office has been notified of the fire.
The Weston Fire Department, along with Jackson’s Mill, Jane Lew and Pricetown Fire Departments all responded to the scene.
There are no injuries to report at this time, but Asst. Chief Ruppert says a dog was rescued from inside one of the buildings.
