CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A building in downtown Clarksburg caught fire Sunday evening, temporarily closing one busy intersection.

The Clarksburg Fire Dept. was called out at around 7:30 Sunday night to put out a fire that broke out at a loading dock underneath the Speedway Appliance store building on Milford St.

It took crews just a few minutes to extinguish the flames as of now, officials say they don’t believe there’s any significant damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Emergency responders had to close down the intersection of Rte. 19 and Hwy. 20 to traffic. The road has since reopened. No injuries have been reported.
