Fairmont Senior High School Madrigals Valentine’s hosted its annual elimination dinner at the Knights of Columbus in Fairmont.

The dinner helps raise money for students that are in the madrigals program that will be traveling to Orlando, Florida in April for a competition. Friday night, people could have a good time, enjoy a delicious meal, and help the students. Cost was $50 a couple; there were even a 50/50 drawing, raffle baskets, and trip boards that those in attendance had a chance to win.

“The bite this is going to take out of trip cost for the kids, last year we raised $9,000 in one night. We’re lucky to make $1,500 in a winter concert, so I mean this is a big-time fundraiser and it makes a big-time difference for a lot of kids,” said Gregory DeVito, Director of Choral Ensemble of Fairmont Senior High School.

Mark your calendars if you want to see what the students in the madrigals program have been working on at their spring concert is May 9, 7 P.M. at Fairmont Senior High School Auditorium.
