One of the victims in the synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh that left 11 dead also had a direct connection to the Mountain State.
Daniel Stein was an alumnus of West Virginia Wesleyan College.
Wesleyan’s Vice President of Advancement Bob Skinner said in a statement:
Dan was a very loyal Wesleyan alum. He was also known by many in the Pittsburgh community for his kindness. He was a proud grandpa and was so looking forward to this next chapter of his life. We are truly saddened by this horrific and senseless tragedy and the Wesleyan family throughout the world mourns the loss of a member of our family.
Six others, including 4 police officers were also injured in the incident.
