WBOY STORMTRACKER 12 WEATHER SYNOPSIS:
After a showery and stormy day ended with sunshine Tuesday, cooler and drier weather is on tap for your Hump Day. High pressure is moving into the eastern third of the United States bringing with it dry and cool Canadian air that's giving us really nice conditions for Wednesday. A little bit of fog paid us a visit this morning, but that faded away thanks to sunshine and a slight breeze. Dewpoints throughout the afternoon will be in the upper 50s to around 60 making it feel quite comfortable with cooler than average temperatures around 80 degrees, mid-70s in the higher elevations. We'll be seeing lots of sunshine with a few passing clouds, but with a UV Index of 8, make sure to wear and reapply sunscreen if outside for a long period of time; sunburn can move in on unprotected skin in less than 20 minutes. Mainly clear skies will continue overnight as temperatures dip into the upper 50s making it a cool start to your Thursday.
Tomorrow will see lots of sunshine and a couple of thin clouds as the high is moving eastward allowing for warmer air to push into the Mountain State. Temperatures will be back to where they should be for this time of year, in the low-to-mid 80s, as dewpoints will be slightly sticker, but all in all still relatively dry across north-central West Virginia. Wednesday and Thursday look to be the perfect days to go outside and do necessary yard and farm work or take a dip in the warm water of the lake or pool!
More moisture moves in Friday as we'll start off mainly sunny with increasing clouds throughout the day. We'll see a few convective showers or thundershowers late Friday, so make sure to have an umbrella handy if you're going out and about to kick off the weekend. More rain and storm chances are on the way for the weekend as we'll see a few dry and sunny spots, so don't cancel any outdoor weekend plans. Rain chances decrease as we head into the beginning of next week but are still present through at least Tuesday. Temperatures for the weekend into the beginning of next week will be in the lower 80s.
