Friday – Sunday (April 12 – 14)

The WVU Mountaineers Baseball Team will host the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a three-game home series this weekend at the Monongalia County Ballpark. Friday’s game will begin at 6:30 p.m., Saturday’s game will begin at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s game will begin at 1 p.m. For everything on WVU Baseball, visit wvillustrated.com.

Saturday (April 13)

The WVU Gold-Blue Spring Game will be held at Milan Puskar Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. Gates open and pregame begins at noon. Tickets are available for $10 each. The game will air on WBOY ABC. For everything on WVU football, visit wvillustrated.com.

The 2nd Annual Walk the Talk with Hoss event will be held on Saturday at the Family Resource Center (FRC) 5K Li’l Mountaineer Training Camp at Milan Puskar Stadium. The event will be held from 9 – 11 a.m. This event is sponsored by The Hoss Foundation and will support WVU Medicine Children’s.

The West Virginia Black Heritage Festival Inc will be hosting their 2nd Annual Spring Dinner Dance Gala on Saturday. The event will be held in the Grand Ballroom at the Village Square Conference Center in Clarksburg from 6 – 11 p.m. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by contacting Sherri James at 304-629-6777. Most of the proceeds from this event will be used for youth activities during the festival in September 2019.

A Wharf Art Walk will be held on Saturday from noon – 5 p.m. at the wharf district in Morgantown. The event is hosted by the Mon River Trails Conservancy and Main Street Morgantown. The event will feature music, activities and art for sale. Proceeds from art purchases will benefit local rail-trails.

The Harrison County HOPE Lions Club will host a breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Buffalo Wild Wings in Bridgeport on Saturday. The breakfast will be held from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Children will be able to enjoy a pancake breakfast and get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. The price to attend is $5 per person.

The Spring into Art art show will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Buckhannon Opera House. The event will feature local artists, woodcraft, jewelry, pottery and much more. Live music and tapas will be provided.

The 12th Annual Weston 5K will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the corner of East 2nd and Center Avenue in Weston. The pre-registration fee is $15 and the race day fee in $20. 

The Clarksburg Farmers Market will host an Earth Day Market on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the First Methodist Church in Clarksburg.

Mon Health EMS will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Morgantown. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance as kids hunt for eggs and have the opportunity to win grand prizes.

The Salem Bike Safety Rodeo will be held at the Salem Depot Pavilion Stage on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. This event will feature a bike raffle. Kids ages 2-16 can enter for a chance to win 1 of 20 bicycles.

The grand opening for the West Virginia Northern Rail-Trail will be held on Saturday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Tunnelton Historic Depot. The event will feature refreshments and live music.

The Canaan Valley Resort Spring Stroll will be held on Saturday from 2 – 3 p.m. Guests are invited to stroll through the state park with a Master Naturalist and learn about a highlighted them along the way. 

Sunday (April 14)

The Bridgeport Farmers Market will host an Easter Market on Sunday at the Bridgeport Conference Center from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Easter Market will be the Bridgeport Farmers Market’s final winter market of the season.
