Saturday – Sunday (Jan. 12 – 13)

Snowshoe Resort is hosting Subaru WinterFest this weekend at the resort. This two-day-long event will feature live music, Subaru swag, free snacks and beverages, daily giveaways and gear demos. A full schedule of the weekend’s events can be found here

Saturday (Jan. 12)

The Snowball Run and Walk 5K will be held at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston on Saturday at 10 a.m. The hospital will also offer flu shots at 9 a.m. prior to the start of the race. 

The West Virginia University Men’s Basketball Team will host Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon at the WVU Coliseum. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m. For more information on the WVU men’s Basketball team, visit wvillustrated.com.

Sagebrush Round-up in Marion County is the host of a weekly country music show, and houses the Country Music Hall of Fame for West Virginia. This weekend’s event, Country Music at the Sagebrush Round-up, will start at 5 p.m.on Saturday. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-12.

Stonewall Resort and West Virginia’s own Vintage Theatre Company are coming together to host a three course ‘80s themed Murder Mystery Dinner in the resort’s ballroom on Saturday. The event will be held from 7 – 9 p.m. To view a menu or learn more about this event, click here.

Sunday (Jan. 13)

Start your year off right by shopping local at the first Bridgeport Farmer’s Winter Market of 2019. You’ll find a limited amount of seasonal produce, farm raised meats, farm fresh eggs, baked goods, artisan products and more. The Happy New Year Market will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday. 

Come out for an adventurous evening and catch Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center. Doors will open at 2 p.m. Total ticket cost is $6.50 (taxes and fees included). Tickets will be available at the box office or online here.

The 4th Annual Small Town Bridal Show and Wedding Market will be held at Mylan park in Morgantown on Sunday from noon – 4 p.m. Future brides and grooms are invited to attend the event and begin planning the wedding of their dreams!
