Friday – Sunday (May 31 – June 2)

The 30th Annual Blue and Gray Reunion will be held in Philippi this weekend. This event is focused on the civil war history in Philippi and will feature a parade, a pie eating contest, a corn hole tournament and more. A full schedule of events for the weekend can be found here

Friday – Saturday (May 31 – June 1)

Float the Fork 2019 will be held in West Milford in Harrison County this weekend. This two-day celebration will be held in honor of National Trails Day 2019. On Friday night attendees will get together at Veterans Memorial Park in Clarksburg for early registration, river education and other entertainment. On Saturday, attendees will float from Goodhope to West Milford Park where boats will be unloaded 

Saturday – Sunday (June 1 – 2)

Reality wildlife star Turtleman is coming to Clarksburg on Saturday and Sunday. The Turtleman Arrowhead Show will be held at the Harrison County Recreation Complex on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. This meet and greet event is family friendly. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 & under.

Friday (May 31)

The Harrison County Relay for Life will be held at Bridgeport High School on Friday from 6 – 10 p.m. The event will include a survivor/caregiver walk a Luminaria ceremony and more. Find out how you can donate here.

The 13th Annual Girls’ Night Out will be held at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown on Friday from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. The event is hosted by the Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit children or families who have experienced neglect, abuse or other traumas in Monongalia County.

The first Festival Friday of the year will be held in Buckhannon on Friday at Jawbone Park. Festival Fridays will be held each Friday in Buckhannon from May 31 – August 23 from 5 – 8:30 p.m. The event is free to attend. Ryan Cain & the Ables will be performing this week.

Saturday (June 1)

The Randolph County Relay for Life will be held at Elkins Town Square on Saturday, beginning at noon. The event will include a survivor/caregiver walk a Luminaria ceremony and more. Find out how to donate here.

The 2nd Annual Bridgeport Summer Kick Off Food Truck Festival will be held at the Bridgeport Civic Center on Saturday from 5 – 8 p.m. This free event is hosted by the Associated Businesses of Bridgeport, which is made of local businesses that desire to get involved in the community. Food trucks will line the street as well as a cruise of cars of all makes and models. There will also be children’s activities.

The Deckers Creek Trail Half Marathon will be held on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. This event will be held for National Trail Day.

Pattyfest 2019 will be held at East Fairmont High School from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. This event is an old-time music festival and will feature workshops. The festival is held in memory of Patty Looman.

The Meet the Cheat 4th annual community paddle will be held a Rowlesburg Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Attendees are invited to join Friends of the Cheat, the Upper Cheat River Water Trail and Blackwater Outdoor Adventures for a lazy day on the river.

The Pickin’ on the Hill Bluegrass Festival will be held at Brooks Hill in French Creek on Saturday from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children under 6. The lineup can be found here.

The Marion County Library Summer Reading Kickoff Party will be held at the National Guard Armory in Fairmont. on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. This event will feature bouncy houses, carnival games face painting and more.
